Privacy Policy

Effective August 18, 2026.

Who is responsible. Your personal information is collected by this property's host to manage your stay. The booking platform is built and operated on the host's behalf by Rouge Media Productions (Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada). We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect.

  • Your name, email, and (if you provide it) phone number, with your booking details — dates, guests, and the unit you book.
  • The rental agreement you sign at checkout, including your typed name and a timestamp.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe; your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by this site. We keep records of amounts, payment status, and refunds.
  • Messages you exchange with the host through the site or by email.
  • Standard technical logs (IP address, request time) used for security.

Advertising measurement. No third-party advertising or analytics script runs while you browse this site. If you arrive from a Google ad, a first-party cookie on this domain stores the click identifier Google adds to the link (`gclid`, `wbraid` or `gbraid`), so the host can tell which ads lead to real bookings. On the booking confirmation page only — after you have paid — Google's measurement tag may load and report the booking reference, amount and currency, together with that click identifier, to Google Ads and Google Analytics. Nothing is reported to Google if you do not book, and blocking cookies or Google's domains does not stop you booking.

How it is used. To take, confirm, and manage your booking; to send you booking emails (confirmation, check-in instructions, reminders); to process payments, deposits, and refunds; to comply with legal obligations; and to keep the site secure.

Where it is stored. The booking database and supporting services are hosted with providers in the United States (including our database host and email delivery provider). That means your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and be subject to lawful access requests under United States law. Payment data is handled by Stripe under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it. Guest personal information is redacted from booking records 24 months after your stay, except where the law or a signed agreement requires longer retention (for example, financial records).

Your rights. You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to its use, subject to legal and contractual limits. Email stay@rougemedia.net. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes. If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
